Lewis County man charged with child rape
Local businessman, Douglas Curtis, has been indicted by a grand jury and charged with five counts of child rape and one count of aggravated sexual battery.
Curtis’s bond was set at $175,000. He is released
Early voting began on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, giving registered voters the opportunity to cast ballots for the March 6 Presidential Preference Primary and the Lewis County Republican Primary. This is the first statewide election in which voters are required to show photo identification prior to casting their ballots.
Also on the March 6 ballot will be the election of a Circuit Court Judge in the 21st Judicial District which includes Lewis, Perry, Hickman and Williamson Counties. Candidates running for the election are Michael W. Binkley, Judy A. Oxford, and Derek Keith Smith.
Lewis County Administrator of Elections Connie Ferguson is encouraging voters to take advantage of early voting if they wish.
