An Alabama logging crew, Devaney Logging, Inc. of Russellville, Alabama, has purchased and is logging over 900 acres of woodsland off Tiger Bennett Road in Lewis County. Another unknown logging crew is also logging approximately one mile down the road.

Citizens of the community have been complaining about mud, pot holes and other destruction to the road.

Lewis County Highway Commissioner Ronnie Darnell stated it was impossible to keep the roads in good shape with such heavily loaded trucks traveling back and forth numerous times every day. “The pavement of our county
