Franklin was an avid deer hunter, liked to fish, always raised a garden and shared his bounty with family and friends. He was of the Church of Christ faith. He was always a hard worker, working many years at Genesco in Waynesboro. His last employment was at Dana and Eaton Corporation in Hohenwald where he retired in 2005.
Other then his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Billy Morgan, Gene Morgan and infant brother, Bobby Morgan; sisters, Kathleen Runions and infant sister, Barbara Morgan.
He is survived by his wife of over 47 years, Frankie Martin Morgan; son, Sheldon Morgan, both of Waynesboro; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Service was Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Shackelford Funeral Chapel in Waynesboro with Joseph Wallace officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Gardens in Waynesboro with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.
