Bessie L. (Durham) Kosmar, age 76, and a resident of Christi Ave in Chapel Hill, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Kosmar will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Frances Assisi Catholic Church in Aberdeen, Mississippi with Father Vince Burns officiating. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family and in charge of the arrangements.
A native of Hohenwald, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Durham and Mattie (Ament) Durham. She attended school in Lewis County, and was a member of St. Frances Assisi Catholic Church in Aberdeen, Mississippi. She had worked with the Continental Insurance Company where she rated insurance policies.
Mrs. Kosmar left behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Bobbie (Richard) Carpenter of Nashville; four step-children; a sister Della Roden of Hohenwald; three grandchildren, Terri (Ashley) Harper of Chapel Hill, Ben (Jan) Starr of Greenbrier, Leon (Haley) Starr of Moulton, Alabama; four great grandchildren, Allie Goodson, Aldyn Harper, Zoe Starr, and Jentzen Starr; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
