Cletus Richardson

RichardsonNorma Cletus Grinder Richardson, 97, of Linden passed away Monday March 26, 2018 at her home.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31 at Young Funeral Home in Linden. Interment followed in the Ary Cemetery on Sinking Creek Road in Perry County.

She was born in Flatwoods on November 28, 1920 to the late Noah Theodore Grinder and Mary Jane Ary. She was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church and retired from Johnson Controls Team Linden.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Jackson Richardson; a son, Raymond D. Richardson; grandson, Caleb Cooke; son-in-law, Thomas Cooke; sisters, Izorah Riley, Mollie Harder, Sadie Tatum, Emma Kilpatrick, Sue Hamm and Opal Garner; brothers, Abb, Loyd, Zell, Osburn, Wesson and Clint Grinder.

Survivors include her daughters, Wanda Cooke of Hixson and Judy (Lynn) Thomason of Zellwood, Florida; a son, Ricky (Myra) Richardson of Madison, Alabama; grandchildren, Ansley (Gerald) Johnson, Jeffrey (Annie) Thomason, Ryan Thomason and Corey Cooke; great-grandchildren, Brandy (Layton) Ham, Katherine (Aiden) Johnson, Jacob, Beckham and Archer Thomason; and a host of other loving family members and many friends.
