A drunk driver in Kentucky sent two Lewis County residents to the Louisville University Hospital approximately 2:30 a.m. eastern time on Saturday, September 22, 2018. Tina Cuevas-Klein and daughter, Jacqueline, were traveling north on Interstate 71 in Henry County, Kentucky, going to University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio to watch son and brother, Jose Klein, play football when a drink driver crossed the media and struck the Klein car in the driver’s side. Tina quickly existed the vehicle in an attempt to call 911 and help her daughter out of the vehicle when a semi-truck struck the driver’s side again. The Klein vehicle struck Tina, sending her across the interstate, and the vehicle flipped and threw Jacqueline out into a field. Jacqueline was hospitalized for two days with internal injuries. At press time, Tina remained in Louisville University Hospital with serious injuries.
