Freda Middleton Vaughn, age 87, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at Lewis County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hohenwald.
Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2016 in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with L.C. Loveless officiating. Burial followed in the Swiss Cemetery.
Mrs. Vaughn was born February 6, 1929 in Wayne County to the late Clydia Adkins and Ora Brewer Grinder. She was a childcare provider for many years.
Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Carroll (Harold Ray) of Hohenwald and Sandy Gildersleeve (Bruce) of Culleoka; two sons, David Henley (Kay) of Hohenwald and Keith Middleton (Carolyn) of Columbia; grandsons, Kevin Carroll (B.J.), Bradley Carroll (Kayce), Nathan Henley and Robert Middleton, all of Hohenwald; granddaughters, Dasha Lowery (Shane), Heather Bush (Kelly) of Kentucky, Miranda Woodall (Will) of Murfreesboro, Elizabeth Middleton of Hohenwald, Shauna Walton (Zach) of Columbia and Brittni Gildersleeve (Justin, fiancee) of Culleoka; and twelve great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Malcolm Henley; second husband, Robert Middleton; third husband, Charlie Ware; fourth husband, Marion Vaughn, and brothers, Johnny Brewer and Gary Henderson.
