Hunter Education Class to be Held

A Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency (TWRA)  Hunter Education Class will be held the week of March 11, 2019. Classes will start at 6 p.m. at the Lewis County High School Commons Area on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday evenings. Shooting range and written test will be held on Friday afternoon.

All classes and the range date must be attended to be certified. To enroll in this class, go to  www.tn.gov/twra. Click on for Hunters, click on Hunter Education, and then Find a class.

Enrollment starts February 11, 2019 and will continue through March 10, 2019. Online enrollment is required. Those who do not have access to a computer can let an instructor know the first night of the class so they can assist with this requirement. Students must be nine years old as of March 11, 2019 to be certified.

All persons 10 years old and older who were born after January 1, 1969 are required to complete this class prior to hunting.

There is no charge for the class, bring a #2 pencil, and social security number with you if you did not register online. All supplies required to complete this class will be furnished by TWRA. Do not bring any firearms or ammunition to the class.
