Isbell signs with Martin-Methodist

The Athletics Department of Martin Methodist College has announced that Lewis County Senior Alexis Isbell will commit to the Lady Redhawk Women’s Volleyball program for the 2019 season. Assistant Coach Nick Williams met with Isbell and her parents on Thursday, November 1st at Lewis County High to seal the deal, with Alexis signing her Letter of Intent to play for Martin Methodist surrounded by her coaches and Lady Panther teammates.

Isbell began her volleyball career at Lewis County Middle under Coach Shelley Owen, and began her High School career in the 2015 season under Coach Jennifer White playing in the position of Setter. During her Senior season under Coach Megan Kilburn, she transitioned into the Libero position for the Lady Panther squad. Alexis is the daughter of Bucky Isbell and Felicia and Charles Cross of Hohenwald.

Martin Methodist Athletics are a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, and their teams compete as part of the Southern States Athletic Conference which includes schools such as  Bethel University, Loyola, Stillman College, Faulkner University, and The University of Mobile. Martin Methodist College, founded in 1870, is a liberal arts, four-year College related to the Tennessee Conference of The United Methodist Church, and is located in Pulaski.
