Judith Ray, age 79, of Smyrna, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2019 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 27 in the McDonald Funeral Home chapel with Ronnie Pope officiating. Burial followed in the Swiss Cemetery.
Mrs. Ray was born March 16, 1940 in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late Van C. Rasbury and Willie Florence Brown Rasbury. She worked in home health.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Wayne Ray of Smyrna; two daughters, Janet Baxter (Mark) of Nolensville and Melanie Cross of White House; five step-children; three sisters, Monetta Bullion of Hohenwald, Rosetta Shann of Waynesboro and Nadine Turnbow of Smyrna; three grandsons, Allen Baxter (Shelby), Ryan Cross and Brent Cross; one granddaughter, Maddi Fullbright; two great granddaughters, Nolen Baxter and Nina Baxter; great grandson, Sebastian Van Baxter; several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by one brother, Van B. Rasbury, and one sister, Florine Gossett.
