Lady Panthers 4-2 for the season

The Lewis County High School Lady Panther basketball team now has 4 wins and 2 losses for the season.

The local ladies captured the victory, 71-29, over the Fairview Lady Yellow Jackets Tuesday, December 4 at home.

Hailey Bowen was top scorer for the Lady Panthers with 30 points, Kendall Tharp had 14, Jayden Hinson and Anna Feichtinger 6 each, Kaylie Webb and Breanna Bratcher 5 each, Chloe Lay and Dalina Brown 2 each, and Abbie Brewer 1.

The Lady Panthers grabbed a victory over Perry County on December 1 in Linden by a score of 68-34.

Bowen, once again, controlled the scoring with 25 points followed by Bratcher with 15, Feichtinger 11, Webb and Hinson, 4 each, Lay 3, and Kendall Tharp, Layla Simmons and Brown, 2 each.

On November 27, the Lady Panthers traveled to Waynesboro and won over the Lady Cats in a close contest, 53-50.

Bowen lead the Lady Panthers with 15 points, Sailor Selby, 11, Bratcher and Tharp, 9 each, Feichtinger 4, Hinson 3 and Webb 2.

Lewis County lost against Forrest, 76-54, on the local gymnasium on November 20.

Tharp topped the scoring for the Lady Panthers with 18 points followed by Selby with 12, Bowen, 8, Bratcher and Feichtinger, 6 each, Webb 3 and Lay 1.

Summertown was victorious over the Lady Panthers, 84-47, in the second game of the season, at home on November 16.

Bowen was top scorer with 12 points, Tharp, 11, Feichtinger, 6, Selby and Bratcher, 4 each, Lay and Hinson, 3 each, and Emily Graves 2.

The Lady Panthers started the season off with a win in overtime over Hampshire, 65-62 November 13.

Selby sank 16 points to lead the Lady Panthers in scoring, followed by Tharp with 12, Feichtinger 10, Bowen, 9, Webb and Bratcher, 7 each, and Lay, 4.
