Lady Panthers Keep Grinding

The Lewis County High School Lady Panthers clawed their way through the Hickman County Lady Bulldogs on January 11 for the win, 72-64.

Five Lady Panthers scored in double figures. Kendall Tharp led the local ladies with 20 points. Sailor Selby sank 15 points with 2 three-pointers. Hailey Bowen added 13 points, Kaylie Webb and Breanna Bratcher, 10 each, and Anna Feichtinger and Chloe Lay, 2 each.

On January 8, the Lady Panthers traveled to Camden and suffered a heartbreaking loss, 59-58.

Bratcher led the scoring with 19 points, 1 three-point shot. Selby had 16 points with 4 three-pointers. Bowen added 13 points, Abbie Brewer, 5 points with 1 three-point shot and Tharp, 1 point.

Lewis County captured a tremendous win, 77-34, over the Lady Wildcats of Wayne County on January 5. The Lady Panthers were dominate over the entire game.

Bowen hit the scoreboard with 23 points, followed by Selby with 14. Bratcher added 10 points, Tharp, 8, Lay, 6, Feictinger, 5, Serenity Warman and Kaylie Webb, 4 each, and Emily Graves, 3. Selby had 2 three pointers and Graves and Feichtinger, 1 each.

The Lady Panthers traveled to Fairview for competition Tuesday, January 15. They will host Waverly Friday, January 18 at 6 p.m. and Perry County Saturday, January 19 at 5 p.m. On Tuesday, January 22, the local team will travel to East Hickman with tip-off at 6 p.m.
