LCHS Cross Country runners set personal records;

The Lewis County High School cross country team traveled to Franklin on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 to compete in the all-comers meet hosted by BGA.

There were approximately 23 schools represented with well over 120 runners in the boys’ competition.

Every runner on the Panther team set new personal record times for the 2011 season in the meet with Kason Halfacre placing sixth overall with a time of 18:14. Dillan Street ran 22:00, James Reese followed with a time of 22:25, Houston Hamblin clocked in at 22:36 with Chris Gallagher close behind in 22:41, and Hayden Lovett in 26:14.

On Saturday, September 24, the team traveled to the Steeplechase at Percy Warner Park in Nashville to compete in the 46th Annual A.F. Bridges Invitational.

Dillan Street and Hayden Lovett set new personal records again as the team continues to improve. Dillan ran the 3.1 mile course in 21:30 and Hayden in 25:07.

Halfacre medaled again with a time of 18:51 while Hamblin ran 23:30 and Gallagher 23:32.
