The Lewis County Middle School Lady Panthers captured another victory Tuesday, December 13 over E. O. Coffman with a final score of Lewis County 33, E. O. Coffman 20.

Both teams were in slow motion the first quarter with the Lady Panthers ahead, 5-3, but the Lewis County ladies shifted to high gear the second quarter adding 13 points to their side of the scoreboard and ending the first half, Lewis County 18, E. O. Coffman 6.

The Ladies of E. O. Coffman opened up in the third quarter to outdo the Lady Panthers in scoring, but not enough to overcome Lewis County’s lead.

The mighty defense of the Lady Panthers pressed stronger in the fourth quarter to shut down the scoring of the ladies from E. O. Coffman and win the competition, 33-20.

Lauren Graves scored in double digits with 10 points for the Lady Panthers. Maggie West added 8 points, Lainey Bell and Ashley Floyd, 4 each, Loren Runions, 3, and Mattie King and Landree Carroll, 2 each to round out the scoring.

Kara Carroll, Cailey McCann, Alisse Robinson and Taylor Arledge contributed to the win.

Lady Panthers are now 13-0 for the year. They will resume action following the holidays with two games on the road, January 3 at Linden and January 7 at Hickman County.
