tremendous success

The 5th annual Ticked Off at Cancer Ride was held Saturday, April 9, 2016. This year’s event was in memory of Donnie Crowell, who lost his life to cancer on December 6, 2015.

Despite the frigid cold winds, approximately 54 motorcycles and over a dozen vehicles gathered at Southern Komfort Bar and Grill and joined in the event to raise $12,219.50 for the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund.

Saturday’s event also included an auction, games and music by Six Stroke.

“Our goal was to raise $8,000, but we went over $4,000 more. We really do appreciate all the people and the businesses in the community who contributed to help make this possible,” Coordinator Larry Skelton said.

Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund assist Lewis County residents stricken with cancer with transportation, medications, or other needs that may arise.
