Funeral service for Wilma Clinton Scott, age 65, of Cookeville was held Monday, June 3, 2019 at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Presley Funeral Home in Cookeville with Evangelist Seth Presley officiating. Interment followed in Burris Cemetery, also in Cookeville.
Wilma passed away Friday, May 31, 2019 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville following brief illness.
She was born Tuesday, June 23, 1953 in Gainesboro, to the late Willis Elvis Clinton and Bertha Udale Garrison Clinton.
She will long be remembered as a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister and friend. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Scott; two brothers, Dave Clinton and Dick Clinton; two sisters, Bonnie Clinton and Johnnie Clinton Spell.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim (Rob) Phillips of Cookeville; two brothers, Rod (Polly) Clinton of Jackson County and Harvey (Annette) Clinton of Hohenwald; three sisters, Mary (Joe) Allen of Jackson County, Mildred (Gary) Smith of the Dodson Branch Community, and Lisa (Mike) Mayberry of Jackson County; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
