Kindergarten registration packets are available to pick up at the Lewis County Elementary School office. Instructions will be included. On Saturday, March 18, 2023 the Lewis County Elks will host a community baby shower emphasizing the importance of early literacy for the children in our community. The event will be at the lodge, located at 416 Swiss Colony Road from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Parents are encouraged to bring their children out for an afternoon of reading and crafts. The Lewis County Elks #2883 has planned their 3rd annual 5K color run/walk for Autism and Special Friends for April 1, 2023. Registration will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the lodge on Swiss Colony Road. Lewis County Government was recently awarded a $128,480 grant from the State of Tennessee to make facility improvements at the Lewis County Health Department. The project is scheduled to include new furnishings throughout the facility, new casework in the nurse's station and clerical area, and expanding the waiting room and children's play area.
