  • The Rose Review

    Amanda Curtis, Contributing Writer|Apr 16, 2020

As someone who is considered "high risk," I have avoided lots of places like the plague during this time. I mean, don't get me wrong, I've made the faithful stop at High Forest ReLeaf, been greeted by the amazing faces giving out school lunches to the kids everyday, and it's quite impossible to avoid a weekly run to wally world or the dollar store. However, all of that stopped for a few days when I developed a cough. At first, I was dismissive as I had just mowed the yard for the first time...

  • Gordonsburg/ Little Swan News

    Dorothy Warf, Contributing Writer|Apr 16, 2020

We have had some cooler temperatures, even in the thirties, so I guess this is some of those winters that come with spring. Dogwoods have bloomed so maybe this is blackberry winter. It was cold enough that some of the early rising plants were bitten by its blast. Maybe we won’t have many more spells this cold. I am ready for the warmer temperatures, both night and day. The children want to go to the creek, but I tell them it has to be warmer at night for us to do that although anyone that knows Swan Creek knows it is never warm, even if the t...

They thought about the children who were maybe not as happy soon after. That is when they got the idea for the "help...
