    Dorothy Warf, Contributing Writer|Apr 21, 2022

Don’t know if this is one of the winters or not but it was 47 degrees this morning and at noon it is still about 48 degrees. Wish it would just be spring and not have all this cold rainy weather. The trees and flowers are really blooming so maybe won’t be long till it is warmer at night. Then I guess we will complain about the heat when it is hot all day and night. Those I know of who are sick either at home, nursing facilities or in the hospitals are: Terry Anderson, Bethann Bates, Kay Baxter, Carson Bennett, Connie Bonner, L.C. Bowen, Kat...

  • One Day At A Time

    Evelyn 'E.T.' Trevathan, Contributing Writer|Apr 21, 2022

Well it is a beautiful morning here in our little valley. The sunrise was unusually pretty this morning, a light breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, the neighbor’s cows are grazing in the pasture across the driveway and there are three baby calves laying contently in the sun. The cats were waiting for breakfast when I went out, but they had just gotten up and were still stretching and yawning, so I got them fed and then I was able to get back to my coffee. I hope everybody had a good Easter. It is hard to believe how fast this year is g...

  • Exercising to Music

Lewis County Senior Health and Fitness|Apr 21, 2022

One of the best things to happen for Senior Health and Fitness Exercise Classes in the past 20 years was setting them to music. Music provides a sense of pace and the motivation to keep at it, in contrast to other, more isolated activities such as stationary bike or even walking on the treadmill. The pace can...

Yes, before long, yours truly COULD conceivably abandon the rat race and apply for early Social Security benefits. I would have to adjust to the reduced income very delicately. If I restricted my “riotous” lifestyle any further, it would be SIX FEET UNDER. But w...
