    From the temperatures we have had it looks like summer is here, well maybe. It was in the upper eighties almost every day last week and it really made the children want to get in the creek or pools wherever they could. I would think that the creeks are still too cold but maybe not if you are in the shallower area where the sun hits the water.     Well we had a beautiful morning here in our little valley this morning.   • Donation made to provide meals for hungry kids in Lewis County

    Representatives from Tennessee Farm Bureau, Tennessee Farmers Cooperative, and Farm Mid-American/Rural 1st donated a total of $2,700 to Lewis County Schools to provide backpack meals for hungry kids in Lewis County. Funds were raised through Shooting Hunger sporting clays shoots. Since 2015, Shooting Hunger events have provided more than two million meals to hungry Tennesseans.     The Memorial Day Parade will start at the Hohenwald Church of Christ parking lot on May 30, 2022. All who would like to be in the parade need to be there by 10:15 a.m..
