Chris Carroll was traveling south on Highway 48, Thursday, May 16, when he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving and left the roadway just north of the Lewis County Landfill. Emergency responders and law enforcement personnel were dispatched. Carroll was transported for treatment of his injuries. The annual Memorial Day Parade will start at the Hohenwald Church of Christ at 10:30 a.m. Those who would like to be in the parade need to be there by 10:15 a.m. to get in line to march down to the Courthouse. If it is raining, we will have the program at the Community Building at Memorial Park. The program will be held after the March. Former Lady Panther Allison Jackson has accepted the position as Head Volleyball Coach for the 2024-25 Season. Allison recently moved back to Hohenwald after graduating the first of May from Tennessee Tech University with a bachelor degree in Elementary Education. The former Lady Panther played Middle School and High School Softball and Volleyball at Lewis County and looks forward to starting her coaching career at Lewis County. Lewis County High School will be holding their graduation ceremony this Friday, May 24, at the Lewis County High School. Pilot Club of Hohenwald, in partnership with Coordinated School Health and Hope Hohenwald, held a bike rodeo for children (ages 5-14) on May 11, 2024 at Lewis County Middle School. Students were educated on bike safety as well as learning bike skills.
