The annual Memorial Day Parade will start at the Hohenwald Church of Christ parking lot on located on South Park Street Monday, May 30, 2022. State Sen. Joey Hensley announced the General Assembly has successfully reduced the $10 fee for charitable filings through June 30, 2023. The reduced fees will save Tennessee non-profits an estimated $2.1 million. Summer appears to be upon us as the temperature reaches close to ninety degrees some days, we also had a thunderstorm on Saturday evening with fierce lightening and wind with rain. The rain was much needed, and we also got more rain on Sunday evening. I was glad that it did not rain during the homecoming at Palestine Cemetery.
