As a local business owner, paying county property taxes, city property taxes, county business taxes, city business taxes, franchise and excise taxes, garbage taxes, wheel taxes, gas taxes, telephone taxes, cable taxes, and sales taxes, I respectfully have a few questions before we raise taxes further. Are we planning to sell those structures and properties, or will they be d...

  • Tyrades! Does your hometown stink?

    Danny Tyree|Jul 28, 2022

According to the Washington Examiner, 2022 has handed New York City an alarming spike in citizen complaints about outdoor odors (“I hope you appreciate me doing my civic duty. It’s not easy to use a cellphone to make a 311 call and publicly urinate at the same time. I’m proud to have supported significant tax cuts for Tennesseans this year, two of which will soon begin. Both of these tax cuts will provide financial relief to Tennesseans during this challenging time of rising inflation and food costs. While discretionary expenses such as vacations can be reduced or avoided duri...

Linda Stapleton and her parrot Lola Marie go practically everywhere together... Well, everywhere that will allow feathered friends anyway. Lola Marie is an Amazon Yellow Nape Parrot, and as the silver bracelet around her ankle indicates, she was one of the very first parrots to be brought over to the United States from the Amazon. When Stapleton found the bright-eyed bird, Lola Marie was already around 25 years old. Yellow Napes can live up to 120 years old in the wild, but because Lola has...
