    Henderson, Tennessee (Aug. 10, 2021) — The streets of Henderson will become more crowded Saturday, Aug. 14, when Freed-Hardeman University students begin returning to campus.     The Tennessee Department of Health is recognizing National Immunization Awareness Month this August. This comes at a time when Tennessee is seeing an increase in the COVID-19 vaccination as more Tennesseans are choosing to become vaccinated against COVID-19.     The Elks National Foundation is proud to announce the start of the 2022 Elks Most Valuable Student scholarship contest. The MVS scholarship is available to high school seniors who are United States citizens. Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.     On Tuesday, August 3, 2021 the Lewis County Sheriff's Department received information from an alert citizen leading to the recovery of a stolen piece of machinery in the Texas Bottom area of Lewis County. Lewis County Sheriff's Department Investigators began investigating this matter and discovered that the 2019 Tekeuchi Skid Steer was reported stolen from Stout Concrete in the Nashville area on July 24.
