    It is time for Tennessee's voting districts to be redrawn, and that means Lewis County is going to have some changes. The Redistricting Committee met with CTAS representatives at 6:30 on Monday night in the courtroom.   • Lewis County Sheriff's Dept. recovers drugs on three different traffic stops

    On September 9, 2021, a deputy with the Lewis County Sheriff's Department, working traffic on Highway 412 East, clocked on radar a gray Chevrolet Malibu. Upon making a traffic stop on the vehicle for speeding, the deputy identified the driver as Brandy Nelson of Hohenwald. The deputy obtained consent to search the vehicle which led to the discovery of 1.8 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and an open bottle of alcohol.     The 8th Annual Philbilly Cancer Ride and Festival is planned for Saturday, September 18, 2021. There will be vendors, games, and live music all day at the City Parking Lot. Kickstands up will be at 11 a.m. The ride route is planned to start at Hohenwald Billiards, then WWS, Trovel Heads, The Hideout, Lewis County Elks Lodge, and ending at Hohenwald Billiards.     The Chamber of Commerce put on another block party on Friday, and it was a hit. Several people parked their classic cars and rat rods at The Lot to show off their prized possessions.     The Lewis County High School Lady Panthers volleyball team hosted a match with the Hampshire Lady Hawks on Thursday, September 2nd.
