    The Lewis County High School Panthers traveled to Centerville to take on the Hickman County Bulldogs in the “Battle for the Brown Jug” on Friday night, September 8th. Lewis County flexed its offensive muscle early in the opening quarter and finished off a scoring drive with a 9-yard touchdown pass from Brycen McDonald to Chaz Sparkman and the two hooked up again on the conversion to stake the Panthers to an early 8-0 lead.     The LCMS Panthers traveled to Parsons to face the Riverside Middle School Panthers on Thursday night, September 7. Riverside jumped on top early, breaking free on a 56-yard run fifteen seconds after kickoff to take a 6-0 lead. The Panthers responded moments later when quarterback Brody Clayton hit Gavin Coker for a 42-yard touchdown and connected with Anthony Garcia for the conversion to give Lewis County an 8-6 lead.
