Walk Across Tennessee just wrapped up its 8th year in Lewis County. Cole Farr and his team members Farr Out completed the challenge as our 2022 winners. Our Grand Champion was Mr. Cole Farr. Lewis County Government was recently awarded a $226,500 grant from the Tennessee Department of Transportation. According to Lewis County Airport Manager Gary Nash, "These funds will be used to design an updated Airport Layout Plan, which will assist our county and state in prioritizing and developing future projects for our airport". Although the nights have still been cool with temperatures in the fifties and sixties it is supposed to be in the upper eighties and even in the nineties during the days for the next several days. Well it is a nice cool morning here in our little valley, the temperature is 55 degrees and it is almost too cool to sit on the front porch but I have a blanket and a cup of good hot coffee and of course the cats are wanting to snuggle up next to me.
