    Commission meeting from Monday, September 21 Budget Amendments COVID-19 Grant Money The County received $181,290 in COVIID Grant-Cares Act money and $20,000 for a Jail COVID Grant. The funds are provided by the state with no match required from Lewis County. The money has to be used for something directly affected by the pandemic.   • Scale Fees determined for Transfer Station

    In last week’s County Commission meeting, the scale fees were set at three cents per pound, or $60 per ton. “This decision had to be made to offset the ever-rising cost to run and maintain our Class 3 Landfill such as the salary of the dozer operator, maintenance of equipment and the eventual needed expansion once the Pit is full,” Mayor Jonah Keltner stated.
