    On September 18, 2024, City of Hohenwald Officer Sheyenne Reeves responded to a car accident at 18 South Walnut Street. A blue Nissan car hit a brick house, and the driver was found nearby with injuries. According to the driver, the brakes failed, and she jumped out.     The Lewis County High School Panthers traveled to Mt. Pleasant Friday night, September 27 to face Mt. Plesant in a region game. The Panthers won 8-6. Drew Ray put the first points on the board for the Panthers in teh first quarter on a 28 yard run and was successful on his 2 point run conversion to make the score 8-0. Mt.     Lewis County High School Band competed at the 48th annual Columbia Invitational Marching Contest Saturday, September 28. In Class A, the band received 1st place Musical Effect, 1st place Music ensemble, 1st place Music, 2nd place Percussion, 2nd place Colorguard and 1st place band in Class A.
