    The County Commission met on Monday, Oct. 19 to discuss several orders of business. The first item on the agenda was to appoint a new commissioner in lieu of Mrs. Connie Sharp's withdrawal from her seat. There were two men who vied for her seat on the commission: John Booker, who had once been a county commissioner for eight years, and Doug Jobbitt, who ran for commissioner once before.     After a rainy weekend during Oktober Heritage Festival, the car show and the Big Rig Cruise-in had to be postponed to this weekend.     It's only Day 5 of early voting and it's clear that voter turnout is even bigger than expected. A total of 2,025 people in Lewis County have already voted as of Tuesday morning, before print day. That's more than double the turnout of the 2016 early voting!
