October 28, 1954 Mayor W.C. Keaton signed a proclamation naming October 20 to November 11 as American Legion Weeks. Mt. Pleasant JV Tigers played a good basketballgame, Tuesday, October 22nd, but they just couldn’t catch up to our Panthers. A planned power outage is set for portions of Lewis County on November 6. It will begin at 11 p.m., and the system will return to normal by 1 a.m. Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative will use this time to complete a service upgrade that has been ongoing near the Hohenwald Substation for several weeks.
