The Lewis County Middle School Lady Panthers and Panthers hosted the Hampshire Lady Hawks and Hawks for Junior Varsity and Varsity basketball games on Tuesday, October 27. Two local anglers, Matt Carroll and Miles Staggs, took first place in the October Bass Tournament held on Chief Creek Lake at Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve. Other Lewis County anglers, Ricky Spears and Jeff Brackam placed thirteenth. The day started out dry, but rainfall started around 8 a.m. and continued until close to the finish.
