On March 29, the Lewis County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at 128 Slippery Road. The search warrant was the result of an investigation conducted by Lewis County Sheriff's Office Investigators. The search warrant yielded several electronic devices and electronic storage devices that were seized, along with just under seven pounds of marijuana and over $2,500 in cash also seized. Beginning the week of April 4, Power Pole Maintenance Company will start electric pole inspections on behalf of Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative. Crews will begin in Hickman County and are expected to move to Perry County in May and Lewis County by late summer. We have seen several mornings with frost, but the peach trees are still blooming and I noticed that the old apple tree is trying to bloom. Another week of temperatures like winter, especially at night with the lows being in the low thirties. The days have been somewhat fair and with temperatures in the upper sixties and low seventies. The cool temperatures have not prevented the grass from growing and so there has been a lot of mowing around the area and almost everywhere you go you can smell fresh cut grass, some with onions mixed in with it.
