    On the night of June 24th, Deputy Christian Pelkey ran the tag on a black Camaro, of which dispatch advised was out of date. Pelkey made the stop, and the driver, Steven Brandon Bates, handed him his license as requested. During the traffic stop at the intersection of Victor Cabbage and Buffalo Road, Pelkey detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and asked Bates to step out. LCSD Sergeant Todd Webb, along with Deputies Samantha Clemens and Ben Moore were dispatched to 151 Justwood Lane for a report of a male subject pouring lighter fluid on another's belongings. The monies collected will be used to provide fruit baskets for shut-in veterans and their spouses of deceased veterans. Also, this money will be used for gifts for veterans in the Lewis County Rehabilitation Facility. Edie completed the short journey from Knoxville, Tennessee, to Hohenwald alongside dedicated zoo husbandry and veterinary staff. She arrived just after sunset, becoming The Sanctuary's 33rd resident since its founding in 1995.
