    A beloved soul was called home, Elton Maxwell Ragsdale Jr, age 76, passed on December 17, 2019, in Columbia. "Junior" as he was called, was born January 21, 1943, in Maury County to Elton Maxwell Ragsdale Sr. (Mack) and Uvella Sutton. He attended Haylong School.     An employee of United Waste Haulers announced the impact of the closure of Decatur County’s landfill on Lewis County last Monday evening. The Board of Commissioners learned fees for Lewis County’s waste disposal could be increasing by approximately $108,000 annually.     Ms. Judy Moore Collins, 74, of Paducah, Kentucky, formerly of Linden, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Lourdes Hospital after a short illness.     Carlton Mac Baxter, age 89 of Hohenwald, passed away December 21, 2019 at ACH Lewis County. He was born in Lewis County to the late Luther and Lillian Dabbs Baxter on April 14, 1930. He began working at Dwyer Company in Michigan City, Indiana manufacturing parts that would be used in hospital settings.
