Chris Carroll was traveling south on Highway 48, Thursday, May 16, when he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving and left the roadway just north of the Lewis County Landfill. Emergency responders and law enforcement personnel were dispatched. Carroll was transported for treatment of his injuries. Former Lady Panther Allison Jackson has accepted the position as Head Volleyball Coach for the 2024-25 Season. Allison recently moved back to Hohenwald after graduating the first of May from Tennessee Tech University with a bachelor degree in Elementary Education. Pilot Club of Hohenwald, in partnership with Coordinated School Health and Hope Hohenwald, held a bike rodeo for children (ages 5-14) on May 11, 2024 at Lewis County Middle School. SOME 30 PLUS BIKES AND RIDERS CAME together this past Saturday to raise much needed dollars for the 13th Annual Ticked Off at Cancer Ride. Last week was a very trying and unusual weather week, on Wednesday afternoon we had hail along with thunder and lightening and lot of rain, the hail was as large as baseballs in some areas, and this can certainly damage cars, houses and animals that are out in the open. On Thursday, May 2nd, two members of the Hohenwald Fire Department left for a 748 mile journey to Emmitsburg, Maryland to participate in the 2024 Fallen Firefighters Memorial held at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial.
