Well we have been having a few cold and cloudy days here in our little valley, we have been getting some rain and on a lot of days it has been really overcast, we have even had some foggy mornings. We have had some unusual weather for the first week in January 2024, it has been anywhere from the teens to the forties at night and fifties to thirties in the day time and with some rain heavy at times during the night and days. January 2023 Fire Department responds to structure fire The Lewis County Fire Department was dispatched to 208 Lakeview Drive on December 28 at 2:55 p.m. to the home of Suzanne and Kevin Richardson. The fire department arrived on scene at 3:00 p.m. The fire was believed to have started on the back porch, stated Fire Chief Steve Vineyard. Members of the Fred E. Lomax Post 127 American Legion are currently seeking sponsors to help replace the rotten roof on their lodge here in Hohenwald. The existing roof is nearly 50 years old and leaks during the rain. The damage has gotten so bad that it is threatening the ability of Veterans to meet safely at the lodge.
