The monies collected will be used to provide fruit baskets for shut-in veterans and their spouses of deceased veterans. On the night of June 24th, Deputy Christian Pelkey ran the tag on a black Camaro, of which dispatch advised was out of date. Pelkey made the stop, and the driver, Steven Brandon Bates, handed him his license as requested. The Elephant Sanctuary in Tennessee announced the safe arrival of African elephant Edie over the weekend! Edie completed the short journey from Knoxville, Tennessee, to Hohenwald alongside dedicated zoo husbandry and veterinary staff. She arrived just after sunset, becoming The Sanctuary's 33rd resident since its founding in 1995.
