    Approximately 70 Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative and Connect employees and a board director participated in the 2023 Tennessee Electric Co-op Day of Service by volunteering across MLEC’s five-county service area.     On the morning of October 11th, The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department received multiple complaints of animal cruelty in the area of Longbranch Road where a horse was shot and killed and Rockhouse Road where a cow was shot and injured.
