Success Despite Rain
The 10th Annual Philbilly Cancer Ride was held Saturday, September 16. The event raised $15,000 for the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund. There were a total of 50 motorcycles and a record number of car riders due to the rainy weather. The auction was a huge success as always with the highest bid being $2,000 for a set of custom cornhole boards hand-crafted by Shayla Lay. The total miles ridden was a little over 150 miles. This ride is organized by Phillip "Philbilly" Andrews, his dad, William "Crybaby" Andrews, who started it in 2014 and Daniel Kilpatrick, owner of Hohenwald Billiards. The ride was in honor of the group's fallen brother, Tony "Pineapple" Barber. We are happy to continue this tradition of donating to the Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund for the past 10 years and are looking forward to the next 10, stated Phillip Andrews.
