    A team of Lewis County golfers competed in the 2020 BOCO Cup on July 25 and 26 against a team of Perry County golfers at Hohenwald Municipal Golf Course and Buffalo RIver Country Club. The first two rounds of play were at Hohenwald Municipal and the third round was at Buffalo River. Round one on Saturday morning was a 1-Low format with 9 duos pairing for each team.     Guns popped, shooters shot and coaches watched as their athletes competed in the week-long SCTP National Championship Tournament for shooting sports in Marengo, Ohio.     Local and area Co-Ed softball teams met at Lewis County Memorial Park on Saturday, July 11, 2020 competing for a cause in the 1st Annual Becky Carroll Spongeball Tournament. The event was put together after the untimely passing of local civic icon Becky Carroll who, at the time of her death, was the Director of the Lewis County Senior Center.     Last week the "Aftershock" 12U Travel Softball Team participated in the 2020 USFA World Series in Panama City Beach, Florida.     Lee Burklow was named Mr. Baseball by the Nashville Old Timers Baseball Association. It is the group's top honor and was presented to Burklow at the 82nd annual banquet held January 14, 2020.
