PermaSafe at LCHS

The CEO and two sales representatives of PermaSafe Protective Coatings visited Lewis County High School Monday, January 6 and spoke with Head Football Coach Bobby Sharp while their product was being administered in the football field house locker room, shower and restroom areas. PermaSafe is described by CEO Rickey Gooch as a water based, EPA approved, antimicrobial germ killer.

Treated surfaces will be protected for five years after application. Frankie 'Bird' Sharp walked around the room misting a coating on every surface. Mold, mildew, fungus, odors and germs will be instantly eliminated. The HVAC system will also be treated.

Gooch gave a brief history of the product from its beginning at Dow Corning. In 1969, the product was invented for military use and was extremely hazardous. The formula was changed around 1986 as NASA wanted to sterilize spacecraft. Now this revolutionary product is being marketed world-wide with 45 employees in the U.S. alone. It is child safe, pet safe, 100 percent non-toxic, no allergens and is 99.999 percent efficient. Gooch says this is going to be the 'bug' killer of the future.

Markets include healthcare, automotive, electronics, food and beverage, beauty and personal care and more. Gooch and his team will be visiting the American Football Coaches Association next week in Nashville.

The two step process involves Step 1 to clean and eliminate all germs. Step 2 shields with a protective coating insuring the 5 year protection. Regular cleaning of surfaces is accomplished simply with water. A website for PermaSafe can be found at LastGerm.com.
