Freddie Holt

Freddie Holt, age 82 of Hohenwald, passed from this life on Sunday, February 23, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.

Freddie was born on December 13, 1937 to Odie Holt and Lucille Carroll Holt. He grew up and married the love of his life, Mary Faye Loveless, and they had three children together. He served as Lewis County Circuit Court Clerk for eight years, 1982-1990, and also worked for the State of Tennessee at TDOT for many years. He was a member of the Pineview Church of Christ. He was a twin to his brother, Eddie Holt. Freddie had many, many loving friends, as he never met a stranger.

Along with his wife, Faye Holt, he is survived by three daugthters, Susan Holt, LeaAnn Anderson and Jan Mayes of Hohenwald; twin brother, Eddie (Marlene) Holt of Hohenwald and three other brothers, Mack (Kay) Holt of Columbia, Danny (Judy) Holt and Jackie (Karen) Holt of Hohenwald; sister-in-law, Polly (Johnny) Edwards of Hohenwald; brother-in-law, C.R. Baker of Hohenwald; grandchildren, Jasmine (Louie) Chapin, Dane Cotham, Grey Cotham, Casey (Lucas) Dickerson, Micah Anderson and Blant Mayes; great grandchildren, Eli, Will, and Ace Chapin and Rhodes Dickerson.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Betty Jo Holt, and son-in-law, Mark Mayes.

Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 4:30-9:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, February 28, 2020, at 1 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home chapel with Chet Darden, Bobby Carroll and Donnie DeBord officiating. Burial will follow in the Loveless Cemetery.
