Tennessee agricultural producers who lost property due to recent natural disasters may be eligible for U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) physical loss loans. The Farm Service Agency (FSA) offers these low-interest loans to agricultural producers in Benton, Cumberland, Davidson, Morgan, Putnam, Smith, White, and Wilson counties who incurred losses due to tornadoes that occurred on March 3, 2020. Approval is limited to applicants who suffered severe physical losses only, including the loss of buildings and livestock. Applications are due by December 1, 2020.
Producers in the contiguous Tennessee counties of Anderson, Bledsoe, Cannon, Carroll, Cheatham, Decatur, DeKalb, Fentress, Henry, Houston, Humphreys, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Perry, Rhea, Roane, Robertson, Rutherford, Scott, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, Warren, and Williamson are also eligible to apply for emergency loans.
