Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
Still Tennessee weather. One day begins with temperatures in the thirties and the next will be in the fifties, even early morning. Days have been better with some up in the seventies and we have had several showers during the nights and days. One night we were sitting outside after 7:00 p.m. and listening to the sounds and talking to my sister and then, all of a sudden, it rained a hard shower. It was surprising because it did not even look really cloudy.

I want to thank all of you for the prayers for my daughter, Selina Young. She is still really sick, but so much better at this writing. She is off the ventilator and feeding tube and more alert. Her gall bladder is so bad that the toxins were released in her body and caused problems with her kidneys. We thank everyone and please continue to pray for her, as she will have her gall bladder out when she is strong enough.
Happy birthday to Tina Brewer April 27, Earl Green, Charles Churchwell, Dameron Mercer, Zander Beasley, Morris Brayden and Wiley Staggs, April 29, and Stephen Carroll, Jonathan Bates and Cruz Henderson, April 30. Wishing for these many more happy days to celebrate life and hope they have a great birthday.
We express sympathy to the families of Timothy Ray Dile, Angela Nicole Windsor, Gloria Joyce Perry and Sarah Alice Rochelle. Prayers for these families and any other families who have lost loved ones we may not know about.
As we continue with the quarantine let us remember those who are confined at home sick or in hospitals or nursing homes and cannot have visitors. This all came home to my family week before last when my daughter Selina had to go to the hospital. She was very sick and even critical at one point and we could not go see her or be with her or even talk to her as she was on a ventilator. That was very hard not knowing what would happen, but with prayers and God’s love and mercy she is better and we can at least talk to her now. Thanks again for all the prayers, calls and messages of concern.
I pray that God blesses you and showers you with good health and happiness during the coming days. Remember that this too shall pass and we will one day gain some semblance of normal, but probably never return to the world as we knew it. Maybe it will be better. Because I think we have learned that family is the best thing and to be around them is really a blessing.
