Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
I don’t know what weather the last few days has been unless it is blackberry, but it has been cold at night - even in the low thirties and not above the mid-fifties some days. I, for one, am ready for spring and the temperatures to stay above forty at least during the night. Even some early gardeners have had plants bitten or killed by the frost we have had which is kind of discouraging when one works hard to start a garden to help feed the family and then it gets killed. This is the last week in April and one would think it would begin to warm up like spring should be. But the weather is one thing that we can’t do anything about except talk about it.

We express sympathy to the families of Valeria Joy Ryan, Jody Bunch and Lance Eric Standbridge. Prayers for these families and any other families who have lost loved ones that we may not know about.
As many know, because they have family in the nursing homes or rehab centers or even in the hospital, it has been a trying time when you cannot see or visit those you love very much. Our family has experienced this first hand as many of you have because of my daughter, Selina, being in the hospital. For days, we could not even hear from her except through nurses and doctors calling and updating us on her condition. Sending prayers for all who are or have experienced this.
Praying you will have a good week and be safe in all you do. It seems many things are going to open up some. Many people will take advantage of this and may get careless in the use of protective measures. So whatever you do remember to protect yourself and others by using all the precautions recommended by those in authority.
