High Forest ReLeaf officially opened its doors on Thursday, June 4, on South Park Avenue.
Owner, Shawn Thibeault, started out the event by thanking everyone for their support throughout the community.
Thibeault explained that some of their products are a cannabis strain, but it is not the same as marijuana because it is without the component (called THC) that gets you high or psychoactive.
What their products do contain is CBD, said Thibeault. CBD is a compound that targets pain and inflammation, which can help with things like epilepsy and seizures.
"We believe that we can, not cure, but we believe that we can give you relief," said Thibeault.
Prior to opening up High Forest Releaf, Thibeault was a gastronomy chef in 22 different states, which paved the way for Thibeault to learn how to prepare the products found in his store.
"Food makes you happy and we love to make people happy... So everything you see in here is cooked with all natural ingredients," said Thibeault.
