A report from the Tennessee River Valley News stated a Hohenwald man was killed in a two vehicle motorcycle crash just after 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2020 in Lawrence County.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary report says that a 2008 Toyota driven by Amanda Buie, 45, Waynesboro, had stopped at the intersection of Ethridge Red Hill Road and Red Hill Center Road. According to the report, Buie’s vehicle was facing west.
A 2008 Harley Davidson being ridden by Cody Turner, 28, Hohenwald, was reportedly southbound on Red Hill Center Road.
The THP says that Buie failed to yield and struck Turner’s motorcycle in his lane.
Turner and his motorcycle were reportedly pinned under a guardrail.
Turner later died from his injuries.
Buie and her passenger, Carolyn Mathis, 67, Waynesboro, were both uninjured according to the report.
No citations were issued or criminal charges filed at the time of the report.

The THP stresses that drivers need to take a second to lookout for pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and other vehicles.
