Lewis County welcomes new Extension Agent

Lewis County Extension Office welcomes Savannah Gambel to their team.

Savannah was born and raised on a family farm called Five Oaks Cattle Farm in Loretto. She has had several years of experience working in various departments of Agriculture. She was also a 4-H Honor Club member in Lawrence County and worked actively in a large number of projects.

Savannah is a University of Tennessee at Martin graduate, earning a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and a minor in Ag Communications.

She will have a split role focusing 40 percent of her efforts on Agriculture and 60 percent on 4-H. She will be taking the lead in Lewis County's agriculture programs and assisting with the 4-H program.

"We are excited she will be a part of the Extension team and hope you will welcome her to Lewis County," FCS/4-H Extension Agent II - County Director Shelly Ray stated.

Savannah began her career in Lewis County on Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Her office is located in the courthouse. She may also be reached by calling the office at 931-796-3091.
