The Lewis County Election Commission will conduct EARLY VOTING for the August 6, 2020 State Primary and Lewis County General Election. Any properly registered voter may cast a ballot by personal appearance at the Election Commission Office located at 35 Smith Avenue, Hohenwald, TN, beginning on Friday, July 17, 2020 and ending on Saturday, August 1, 2020.

Mon. - Fri. July 20-24 / 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.
Mon. - Fri. July 27-31 / 8:00a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, July 18 / 8:00a.m. - 12:00 (NOON)
Saturday, July 25 / 8:00a.m. - 12:00 (NOON)
Saturday, Aug. 1 / 8:00-12:00 (NOON)
*VOTING ABSENTEE BY MAIL: A voter must MEET CERTAIN LEGAL QUALIFICATIONS in order to vote an absentee ballot by mail. A voter desiring to vote absentee by mail, may either in person at the Lewis County Election Commission Office, or by mail, request an application for an absentee ballot. Such request for an application must be received no later than Thursday, July 30, 2020. A request received by mail will serve as an application for ballot ONLY if it contains ALL of the following:
Name of the voter (as registered)
Voter's legal residence (911 address)
Voter's social security number
Address to mail the ballot to (if different from residence address)
Election(s) the voter wishes to vote in
Reason the voter wishes to vote absentee by mail
Request must be signed by the voter
IMPORTANT: If you don't vote during Early Voting OR absentee by mail, you MUST vote at your precinct on ELECTION DAY !!
*CHANGE OF ADDRESS DEADLINE: August 1, 2020 Pursuant to T.C.A. 2-2-109 (a), the last time to change your address inside your county of registration is the close of business on the 5th day before Election Day. Voters who have moved within Lewis County may change their address at the Early Voting site or by sending a change of address in writing to the Lewis County Election Commission office, 35 Smith Avenue, Hohenwald, TN.
*VOTER REGISTRATION: is CLOSED until after the August 6, 2020 Election.

If you vote in person during Early Voting or on Election Day you must present a photo ID issued by the federal or Tennessee state government. These IDs may be current or expired. College student IDs and photo IDs issued by cities, counties and other states will NOT be accepted.
