Rex Frazier of Cumberland City, formerly of Hohenwald, was born December 31, 1921 in Hohenwald, the son of the late John and Sally Dugger Frazier. He was united in marriage to Annie Gertude Whitehead on December 31, 1941 and she preceded him in death on August 22, 2019.
Mr. Frazier was a retired crane operator and of the Baptist faith. He departed this life on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, at the age of 98 years, 6 months, 9 days.
He is survived by a son, Albert Frazier of Cumberland City; a daughter, Wanda Tittle of Somerville, Alabama; seven grandchildren, April Rumley, Tracey Babbitt, Tommy Frazier, Jay Wilson, Kenneth Tittle, John Frazier and Robin Roy; 24 great grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Frazier was preceded in death by sons, Carmel Cleveland and John Robert Frazier; a grandchild, Sylvia Frazier; brothers, Herman, Ward, Guy, Verlon and William Ross Frazier; and a sister, Fannie Rose Frazier.
Service was conducted on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at 3:30 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro with Glenn Floyd officiating. Burial followed in Skelton Cemetery in Waynesboro.
